Parent Workshop Survey

I.S. 238 will be hosting a series of Parent Workshops provided by The Center for Integrated Training & Education (CITE). The workshops will be virtual. We want to hear your input on which workshops you would be most interested. This survey will close on January 30, 2025. After we collect the responses, we will begin to schedule the workshops.

Lost Coats and Clothing

Parents & Guardians: Everyday we find coats, jackets, hoodies, and other articles of clothing that is left in the cafeteria, in the locker room, in the hallways, staircases, and even outside. If your child has lost a coat or a hoodie or sweater, please ask your child to check in the Family Welcome Center, or come yourself to check. If these items are not claimed by January 31st, they will be donated a charity.

Emergency Drills This Week

We will be having an emergency drills Monday morning, 12-16-24; Tuesday morning, 12-17-24, and Wednesday morning, 12/18/24. These drills are weather permitting. If you have any questions please contact the school

Project Open Arms, "Know Your Rights" virtual sessions.

The sessions begin on December 3rd at 10 am. We want to ensure all families have access to this imperative information regarding the rights of migrant youth and families who reside in NYC under the relevant bodies of law.

PTA Meeting - Wednesday at 6:00PM on Zoom

The November PTA meeting is Wednesday at 6:00PM on Zoom. Come join the PTA.

Half a Day of School on Thursday 11-14-24

All students will be dismissed at 11:31AM on Thursday. Afternoon Parent Teacher Conferences will be from 12:40PM to 2:40PM. Evening Parent Teacher Conferences will be from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. All conferences are virtual and NOT in person.

Tonight at 6:00PM for the Joint Public Hearing

The New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) is proposing to open and co-locate a new district high school, HBCU Early College Prep (29Q427), in I.S. 238 Susan B. Anthony beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. You can sign up to speak at the Joint Public Hearing starting at 5:30 p.m. Speaker sign-up will close 15 minutes after the hearing begins.
